Swallow Safely
Sunday, June 13th, 2010I just finished another project for Monkey C Media (art direction: Jeniffer Thompson.) I completed a book cover and designed a custom Word Press site for authors Drs. Roya and Joel Herskowitz. The book is an interesting and useful health guide to swallowing. The basic bodily function is explored in details, possible swallowing complications are addressed in length. J Frizza

Around the Neighborhood
Friday, May 21st, 2010Smoky
Wednesday, May 19th, 2010My friend Peter has a little zoo in his house. He has two dogs, six cats, a parrot, seven turtles, four lizards, and four fish tanks! All the unique creatures are adorable. Here is one of them, a portrait of Smoky, the parrot. A special bird that got lost, and was found after weeks, by a lost-and-found ad on www.craigslist.com … J Frizza
Yoga Classes
Sunday, May 16th, 2010I have been doing yoga for 6 months now, and it feels great! The ‘classroom’ is a peaceful room with wooden floors and big windows. The floor vibrates with good energy. The classes are chance encounters with strangers and new found friends. We reunite a few times a week for a soft synchronized mob dance in this sacred place. And the yoga classes have been a source of inspiration for me… here is one of my ‘yoga classes’ inspired digital sketches. J Frizza

Delicious

Around the Neighborhood

Vintage Digital
Friday, October 23rd, 2009Paintbrush was one of my favorite computer tools back then. I enjoyed watching the image brake apart into almost an abstract piece, cause by the limited color pallet and the low resolution. Here is an image done in 1997, inspired in a Greek play… actors in a play, pretending to be in love! JF

Vintage Digital
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009Another early piece I’ve done with Paintbrush, back in 1997. A portrait of a friend, having some drinks at an art gallery. I love the pix-elation of the image cause by the basic computer tool. JF

Vintage Digital: Dog Stories
Wednesday, October 21st, 2009More vintage digital images I created with Paintbrush in 1994 … here are two of six images, from a short cartoon strip recounting the tale of a loud neighbor dog, with a tragic ending! JF

Remembering Buster & Shilo
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009Shilo and Buster were the most wonderful cats I ever had. Buster left suddenly a few weeks ago. This past Friday, Shilo joined his brother at the other side of the rainbow bridge, after the saddest departure. I’m broken hearted, yet I know they are both in a better place now. Farewell my beloved creatures! JF

Monday, September 21st, 2009An early digital work from 1995, done in Paintbrush! A picture of one of my first urban cat friends, spreading havoc around the house… JF
